Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Imaging Technician to join our team at Geisinger Medical Management Corporation. As a Senior Imaging Technician, you will be responsible for performing inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair of imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and troubleshoot imaging equipment to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on imaging equipment, including radiographic, fluoroscopic, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, CT, and MRI equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless equipment maintenance and repair
  • Develop and implement technology management services at client sites, including direct involvement in the coordination and delivery of outside services
  • Participate in organized education and training activities to upgrade job knowledge and performance
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience in servicing imaging equipment
  • 2 additional modalities of specialty, e.g., Mammography, CT, Ultrasound, Laser Printers, Bone Densitometers, CR and DR Systems, Diacom, Pacs, MR, Linear accelerators
  • Prior experience supervising a group of technicians responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing radiographic equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and modify most types of radiographic instruments
  • Efficient record-keeping abilities and comfort with crisis management
  • Ability to judiciously apply current FDA 21 CFR (SUBCHAPTER J), Mammography A.C.R., and JACHO regulations, standards, and codes
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
  • Must be able to access and work in confined spaces with little or no assistance
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. to chest height unassisted and 60 lbs. assisted
  • Requires working with potentially harmful and irritating chemicals
