We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to become a vital member of our talented and diverse team within the Tactical Space division.

The primary location for this role is in Gilbert, AZ. Some after-hours support may be required.

Key Responsibilities:
Understand customer and mission requirements and leverage that insight to troubleshoot and resolve Ground Software challenges
Diagnose satellite command and control software utilizing service-oriented architectures and message bus-based data exchanges, incorporating innovative capabilities
Engage with product owners, users, and fellow software engineers
Deliver software support during critical mission operations, including spacecraft launches, ground software issues, and Rendezvous Proximity Operations
Set up new systems for space initiatives, including installations and upgrades of Ground Software

To excel in this role, you should possess:

Expertise in Spacecraft Command and Control principles, including:
Satellite telemetry streams
Manual and automated or script-based commanding
Interfaces of various front-end processing equipment
Comprehensive satellite control encompassing command and telemetry databases
Flight table management
For this position, domain-area proficiency will be prioritized over other experiences
Expected to be a self-motivated individual capable of making decisions with overall project budget and timeline considerations

This position can be filled at either the Engineer or Principal Engineer level.

Basic Qualifications:
Engineer

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (preferably Science) with 2+ years of experience; 0 years with a Master's; 0 years with a PhD; or 8 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree
Software development background, including proficiency in C, C++, Bash Shell Scripting, Perl, or Python
Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux or other Linux distributions
Self-motivated with a high level of proficiency in technical problem-solving, including decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation, and monitoring
Significant experience in the design, build, deployment, and aftermarket service of standard commercial software products
Strong experience in producing software architecture documentation
US Citizenship is required for this position
DoD TS required, along with the ability to obtain SAP/SCI Clearances

Principal Engineer

Salary Range:
$73,400 - $110,000

Salary Range 2:
$90,400 - $135,600
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
