Job Summary

Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in providing professional pharmacy services to patients and staff.
  • Perform clerical tasks, including answering phones, recording, filing, and reporting pharmacy activities and services.
  • Develop technical skills and competency in areas such as central PO, compounding, narcotics transactions, Omnicell refills, and compliance audits.
  • Work under the direct supervision of an experienced pharmacist.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of math, the metric system, pharmaceutical chemistry, and medical terminology.
  • General knowledge of office procedures, including filling and record keeping.
  • Good telephone skills and oral communication skills.
  • High School or Equivalent Required.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or enrollment in an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Texas State Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration or Texas Pharmacy Intern License.
  • ACPE IV certification preferred but not required.
