Job Title: Environmental Technician Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Technician Specialist to join our team at Augusta Industrial Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing tasks associated with industrial plant site clean-up, utilizing equipment such as vacuums, high pressure water and dry ice blasting equipment, hazardous waste and decontamination clean-up equipment.

About the Role:
  • The position offers great opportunity to work as part of a team, grow skill set, and advance from entry-level to supervisory roles at AIS.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate light and heavy equipment to include, but not limited to, pumps, vacuum equipment, hydro blasting equipment, forklifts, man lifts, jackhammers, and other light and heavy equipment.
  • Perform activities to include, but not limited to, clean-up of chemical and water spills, tank cleaning, boiler cleaning, equipment decontamination, and other duties as assigned.
  • Perform vehicle inspections, equipment inspections and Health & Safety inspections.
  • Perform strenuous physical labor to include, but not limited to lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
  • Ensures proper use of equipment and immediately notifies supervisor of any mechanical failures and/or problems with equipment.
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor while on jobsites and in uniform.
  • Maintain quick and immediate response when on call.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license, acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR), and pass a DOT medical physical, drug screening, and criminal history check.
  • Construction field or industrial / environmental related experience is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical ability is preferred.
  • Attention to detail and multi-task abilities.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel if necessary (typically within a 4-hour driving distance or less).
  • Ability to work with little supervision and an aptitude to complete assigned work.
Estimated Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
