Job Title: Plastics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Plastics Engineer to join our team at Diedre Moire Corporation. As a Plastics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing plastic parts with tight tolerances, undercuts, and strict quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interface with customers to define technically acceptable design requirements based on customer input
  • Sketch designs and use CAD software for detailed design and specifications
  • Analyze various factors of engineering drawings or diagrams, including use of the product, its environment, materials, the economics of production, safety, legal requirements, quality, production requirements, and cost
  • Use product analysis to recommend changes to product to better suit customer requirements, manufacturing plant capabilities, safety standards and cost to customer
  • Interface with engineering and manufacturing departments to verify product designs and identify manufacturability issues
  • Support engineering department in creation and testing of prototypes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Plastics Engineering or related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in a plastic injection molding environment
