Preschool Instructor

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at The Salvation Army USA Southern Territory. As a Preschool Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and care to young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

• Teaching and Learning: Plan, develop, and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of preschoolers, promoting their learning and development.
• Childcare and Support: Provide personal care, hygiene, and emotional support to children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment, promoting a sense of community and respect among children and staff.
• Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders, sharing information about children's progress and collaborating on strategies to support their growth.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of experience teaching child development programs in a church or preschool setting, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Certifications: Valid state driver's license, CPR and First Aid Certification, Health Card Certification, and DCF Childcare Courses.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift, hold, and carry children on a regular basis (up to 50 lbs.).

• Competitive Pay: Hourly rate: $15.04 - $22.55
