We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Intern to join our team at Walmart. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities- Process and accurately dispense prescription orders under the direction of a Pharmacist.
- Counsel customers regarding health care and prescription medication needs.
- Maintain confidential information and adhere to controlled medication procedures.
- Ensure the accuracy of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances.
- Evaluate potential chemical interactions and side effects associated with prescribed medications.
- Provide customer service by acknowledging customers, identifying their needs, and assisting with purchasing decisions.
- Operate equipment, such as cash registers and related tools, to process customer purchases.
- Receive and stock merchandise/supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
- Maintain the pharmacy area in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Enrolled in final year at an accredited Pharmacy school.
- Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Science and Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.
