About this Role

As a Step Down Unit Nurse, you will provide specialized care for patients transitioning from critical care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and monitoring patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status
  • Administering medications and performing procedures as needed
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Educating patients and families on post-intensive care recovery and self-care techniques

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN license
  • BLS certification
  • Two years of recent Step Down experience
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills
