About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Planning Specialist to join our team at Horizon Innovations. As an Environmental Planning Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our clients in the development and implementation of sustainable environmental planning strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage small project teams to create comprehensive environmental plans for medium and large-scale planning projects.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on nature conservation and related procedural issues, as well as on the procurement, financing, and implementation of landscaping measures.
  • Conduct public relations activities in coordination with clients.
  • Create Landscape Management Plans (LMP), environmental screenings, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports, species protection expert reports, Natura 2000 assessments, and Water Framework Directive (WFD) expert reports.
  • Conduct biotope type mapping and digitize the results.
  • Manage procurement processes and oversee externally contracted environmental planning services.
  • Assist the team leader with technical issues and participate in cross-functional topics in the field of Environmental & Geo-Services for the Central region.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Landscape/Environmental Planning, Landscape Architecture, Geography, Biology, or a related field, or equivalent education and professional experience.
  • Extensive experience in environmental planning and management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
