Job Title: Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Storage Strategies Inc. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in providing data-driven insights to support business decision-making.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, machine learning, and programming. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data-driven solutions to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop user-centric interactive reports, dashboards, and visualization solutions using Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI.
  • Analyze platforms and create algorithms to detect failures within the aircraft system.
  • Design, build, integrate, and manage the architecture or framework used in various data science projects to maintain flow of data between servers and applications.
  • Gather, clean, preprocess, and analyze relevant data from various sources to support modeling and decision-making.
  • Apply statistical analysis and data mining techniques to extract insights and validate model assumptions.
  • Analyze historical data and trends to forecast or predict future outcomes and optimize the model's outputs.
Requirements
  • Ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance, must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • BS degree in Data Science/Computer Science/Mathematics/Statistics (desired), engineering/Operations Research Analyst (acceptable).
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL, with a minimum of 7+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency in BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI) with a minimum of 3-5+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency in JIRA and GitLab with a minimum of 5+ years of experience.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high-level problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; including presentation skills capable of defending a technical position and/or recommendation.
  • Self-directed team player with proven ability to deliver tasks timely and efficiently, and a demonstrated ability to interact professionally with all levels of management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in a related field.
  • Familiarity with aviation data with experience in aerospace and/or defense industries.
  • Experience with JAVA and front-end development.
  • Advanced Tableau data visualization experience.
  • Scrum master or lead experienced or certified.
