Surgical Technologist III

Position Overview
Under the general oversight of medical and nursing personnel, and in accordance with established policies, procedures, and professional standards, this role involves assisting in surgical and endoscopic procedures. The Surgical Technologist III is responsible for the preparation, assembly, and maintenance of surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment throughout the various stages of procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure the surgical suite is cleaned, restocked, and properly processed, including instruments and equipment, as required.
2. Identify and communicate any situations that necessitate intervention to the Registered Nurse or Clinician.
3. Act as a clinical mentor for new Operating Room scrub technicians and students in the Operating Room Technician program, serving as a knowledgeable resource in at least five surgical specialty areas.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must have completed a Surgical Technologist training program or an LPN program. Additionally, candidates should possess CST Certification from NBSTSA, AST, or NCCT, with a minimum of five years of relevant work experience. Alternatively, candidates with four years of experience who have completed an Associate's Degree or a Hospital-Based Surgical Tech Program with ten years of Surgical Technologist experience and current CST certification are also eligible.
