Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Tech to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in performing interventional radiology procedures, operating and maintaining radiological equipment, and ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in performing interventional radiology procedures, including preparing patients, setting up equipment, and maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Operate and maintain radiological equipment, including C-Arms and ultrasound machines, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct quality control checks on equipment and supplies to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and restocking equipment.
  • Participate in training and orienting new employees on equipment and procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree desirable; and Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
  • ARRT Certification and licensure as a Radiology Technician by the Department of Health.
  • 4-6 years' related experience desirable, with at least 1 year of experience in interventional radiology procedures.
  • Working knowledge of interventional equipment, procedures, and materials/supplies.
  • Experience with special procedures utilizing a C-Arm and ultrasound equipment.
  • Knowledge of universal precautions and personal protective devices.
Working Conditions

The work environment is characteristic of a health care facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels. May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases/materials. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and to perform patient transfers and positioning of patients up to 400 pounds.

10% Travel.
