We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Public Works team as a Public Works Specialist. This role will assist with various functions conducted in the public right of way, parks, open spaces, and city property.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with road maintenance, storm drain inspection and cleaning, signage installation and maintenance, streetlight electronics, fleet maintenance, traffic control, weed abatement, graffiti removal, road cut inspection, blue staking, and related projects.
- Perform landscape maintenance and snow removal duties as needed.
- Operate various equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; CDL preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tools, materials, and equipment used in construction-related activities.
- Understanding of safety standards related to street construction, maintenance, materials, and methods of constructing roads and drain systems.
- Ability to work harmoniously in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
We offer a competitive salary range of $18.52 - $31.80/hour, DOQ, and excellent benefits. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about public service, we encourage you to apply.
