Part-time Cashier Assistant

This role is located at our store and is responsible for maintaining a good company image and promoting our goodwill through attitude, appearance, and a concern for the profitability of the entire store.
Key Responsibilities- Operate cash register by scanning all merchandise, engaging customers through suggestive selling, and thanking them for shopping with us.
- Process refunds and/or issue in-store merchandise credit to customers for returned merchandise.
- Use loss prevention techniques to reduce shortages and prevent shoplifting.
- Follow company policies and procedures for all transactions.
- Assist customers in locating merchandise, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service.
- Display, stock, and maintain merchandise on end caps, shelves, counters, or tables following company plan-o-gram.
- Assist with color matching and mixing paint, collect carts, and carry merchandise out to customer cars if needed.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policy and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively with customers or associates of the organization.
- Ability to understand and respond to verbal instructions or questions.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
The work environment is a retail store with moderate noise levels. The associate may work near moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
Compensation$11.00 per hour
