Reports To: Medical Director of Orthopedics

Position Objective: In this capacity, Advanced Practice Providers will showcase improved clinical outcomes and acquire the essential skills to operate proficiently within the Orthopedic specialty, with a focus on hand and wrist conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough history and physical examinations, as well as interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests
  • Developing treatment strategies for orthopedic concerns
  • Requesting and executing necessary laboratory or diagnostic evaluations
  • Performing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
  • Prescribing and administering medications and orthopedic equipment

Educational and Experience Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the State of Maryland or eligibility for licensure

Work Environment, Equipment, and Physical Requirements:

  • Medium physical exertion. Ability to lift and move objects
  • Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens
