Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Early Learning Essentials. As a Preschool Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality educational services to our young students, supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing engaging and developmentally appropriate learning activities for preschoolers.
- Provide individualized support to children with diverse needs, including those with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), behavioral support plans, or English language learner status.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social competence and school readiness.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to share progress and involve them in their child's education.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in early childhood education.
Requirements:
- Candidate must have a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or be enrolled in a CDA credential program with a completion date within two years.
- Experience working with preschool children or completion of a preschool lab course as part of an Early Childhood Education degree is preferred.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field is desirable.
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking is an asset.
