Our extensive team of over 200 oncologists, hematologists, and support staff across multiple locations is driven by a singular mission: to transform the landscape of care for cancer and blood disorders. With state-of-the-art treatments, pioneering research, and a commitment to patient-centered care, we are at the forefront of modern healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and document patients' vital signs before, during, and after infusion treatments.
- Accurately log patient data related to infusion therapies, including medication dosages and patient reactions.
- Prepare patients for infusion sessions by clarifying procedures, addressing any concerns, and ensuring their comfort.
- Maintain the cleanliness and sterility of all medical equipment, including IV lines and infusion sites.
- Assist healthcare providers during infusion processes by supplying necessary tools and support.
- Collect and handle laboratory specimens pertinent to infusion therapy, such as blood samples for testing.
- Perform venipuncture for IV access and manage intravenous lines with proficiency.
- Conduct point-of-care assessments as needed to monitor patient responses to treatments.
- Administer Electrocardiograms (EKGs) when required for patient evaluation.
Qualifications:
- Valid Medical Assistant Certification and a High School Diploma.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, with a focus on infusion therapy.
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred to enhance communication with diverse patient groups.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel for precise documentation and data management.
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday with alternating Saturdays
Compensation: Up to $25 per hour based on experience. Benefits include Tuition Reimbursement, Health Insurance from day one, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short and Long-term disability, 401k Plan, generous PTO, and 8 paid holidays (2 floating).
