Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at American Family Care Hilltop, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in diagnosing injuries and disease through the performance of radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring accurate and safe imaging results.
  • Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques to minimize patient exposure.
  • Process images, review for proper identification and quality control, and prepare images for reading by a physician and radiologist overreads.
  • Utilize digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, adhering to approved radiology techniques and policies.
  • Aid providers with prescribed patient treatments, following approved standards, policies, and protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment, arranging for repairs as needed.
  • Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed.
  • Assist with administrative and clinical needs, such as patient registration and medical assisting duties.
Qualifications
  • Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
  • ARRT-registered or board eligible preferred.
  • Licensed per state regulation.
