Athletic Trainer

This position operates in a college or professional setting, providing medical support to the school or professional team. The Athletic Trainer will work under the supervision of team physicians to provide medical coverage for injured athletes during practices and events. This role may also involve supporting local high schools, college settings, community sporting events, and regional sporting camps.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical coverage for athletes during practices and events
- Assist team physicians with medical evaluations and treatment plans
- Develop and implement rehabilitation programs for injured athletes
- Communicate effectively with coaches, school administrators, parents, and athletes
- Maintain accurate records of athlete evaluations, referrals, and treatments
- Participate in marketing strategies for Intermountain Sports Medicine Programs
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field
- Current athletic trainer license in state of practice
- National athletic trainer certification (NATA-BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience as an Athletic Trainer at a college, university, or professional team
- Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field
- Two years of experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
This position will be working with a Division 1 MBB program at Utah Tech. The Athletic Trainer will be required to travel with the assigned primary sports team, as well as possible secondary team, which may include extended road trips and atypical work hours/schedule.
