The Role of Assistant Manager

This leadership position plays a key role in supporting the customer experience and shaping a strong store culture for our associates. As an Assistant Manager at LOFT, you will:

  • Cultivate a customer-focused environment that consistently delivers exceptional customer experiences.
  • Lead by example on the sales floor, modeling our brand's behaviors to engage and assist customers.
  • Inspire, educate, and coach associates to leverage our brand's behaviors to create genuine customer connections.
  • Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome and engaged.
  • Use technology to provide customers with a seamless omnichannel shopping experience.
  • Support the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and developing talent.
  • Drive operational excellence and financial discipline using tools and reporting.
  • Build productive relationships by listening, sharing ideas, and supporting the team.
Your Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1+ year retail management experience (preferred)
  • A hospitality mindset when connecting with customers and associates
  • Technology proficiency and ability to operate a point-of-sale system
  • Strong business acumen and ability to implement action plans to drive results
  • Takes initiative in making thoughtful decisions
