Practice Associate II #Full Time

We are seeking a highly skilled Practice Associate II to join our team at 61st Street Service Corporation. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring an exceptional patient experience from arrival to departure.
Key Responsibilities- Greet patients and visitors promptly, answering phone calls and addressing their needs with kindness and professionalism.
- Review daily and weekly schedules to ensure accuracy and proactively resolve any issues that may arise.
- Obtain necessary registration and intake information from patients, verifying and updating insurance eligibility and benefits as needed.
- Schedule follow-up appointments, referrals, and tests as requested by providers, obtaining prior authorizations and referrals as necessary.
- Coordinate office visits and procedures, scheduling ancillary services and preparing requisitions.
- Collect time-of-service and past due payments, settling the cash drawer in the electronic health record on a daily basis.
- Communicate insurance participation, financial responsibility, and time-of-service policy to patients.
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- Minimum 3 years' relevant experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and objectives.
- Superior customer service skills and ability to maintain a pleasant demeanor in all situations.
- Excellent relationship management skills, including emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, and empathy.
- Working proficiency of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) or similar software.
