Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of patients, clients, and staff by adhering to standard protocols and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Obtain and record relevant information from clients, and maintain accurate medical records.
- Provide education and guidance to clients on pet health needs, diagnoses, and treatment options.
- Communicate effectively with the veterinary medical team and clients regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Understand and comply with state guidelines regarding veterinary assistants and licensed veterinary technicians.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required.
- License in good standing in the state of Indiana or ability to become licensed in Indiana.
- License with the Drug Enforcement Agency required.
- Proven ability to perform basic surgeries and use standard medical instruments and equipment.
