Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic occupational therapy faculty member to join our team at Slippery Rock University. The successful candidate will contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of our occupational therapy program, which trains future occupational therapists as generalists with a focus on the OT process across the lifespan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver course content aligned with program objectives
  • Represent the OT program at professional events and conferences
  • Recruit and advise students, ensuring a diverse and inclusive learning environment
  • Ensure ACOTE accreditation standards are met and maintained
  • Engage in scholarly activities, university and program service, and involvement in professional organizations
Requirements
  • Must hold a license to practice as an occupational therapist in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Must hold an earned doctoral degree awarded by an institution that is accredited by a USDE-recognized institutional accrediting agency
  • Minimum of three years of clinical practice as a licensed occupational therapist
  • Prior higher education experience in instructing graduate health students is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical experience and teaching experience in scholarship/research and assistive technology
