Job Summary:

Talent Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery RN to join our team. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to laboring women and their newborns, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and monitoring fetal heart rates.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and provide education and support to promote healthy outcomes.
  • Participate in emergency situations, such as code blues and postpartum hemorrhages, and respond to critical situations with calm and professional composure.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, using electronic medical records and other tools as needed.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of California.
  • 2 years of recent experience in labor and delivery nursing, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and promoting positive outcomes.
  • BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications, with a strong understanding of fetal monitoring and other relevant skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Epic charting experience, with a strong understanding of electronic medical records and other relevant systems.
  • Advanced fetal monitoring skills, with the ability to interpret fetal heart rate patterns and respond to critical situations.
