Overview:
We are looking for a committed professional to take on the role of Head Athletic Trainer within our esteemed organization. This position involves spearheading the Athletic Training division of the Health & Performance department. Your key responsibilities will encompass the creation and execution of all-encompassing healthcare initiatives for our athletes, overseeing daily medical operations, and guaranteeing exceptional medical care. You will also be responsible for supervising Assistant Athletic Trainers and working in conjunction with other department leaders to ensure that treatment strategies align with the team's goals. A proactive mindset towards athlete wellness is crucial, emphasizing preventive strategies and swift responses to injuries during both training sessions and competitive events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage athlete preparation, injury prevention, and rehabilitation protocols
- Oversee medical coverage during games and coordinate medical care
- Maintain comprehensive medical records
- Facilitate daily health updates with coaching staff and management
- Organize medical appointments and ensure adherence to regulations
- Lead discussions in team meetings regarding medical operations
Qualifications:
- Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited institution
- BOC/ATC certification and eligibility for local state licensure
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Preferred 3-5 years of experience in a professional sports environment
