Senior Project Manager, Technical Planning

Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU), a leading financial institution in Florida, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join its ONESCCU team at the Melbourne Headquarters location. With over 70 years of experience and assets exceeding $8 billion, SCCU is committed to growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope, approach, goals, and deliverables for large, complex enterprise initiatives that support business objectives in collaboration with Senior Management and stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead project teams and help them develop the optimal approach for delivering a project, selecting the best methodology, structure, and deliverables.
  • Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Direct and manage projects from beginning to end.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop project plans and manage the development of all project artifacts/documentation.
  • Conduct project postmortems and create recommendations reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Requirements:

  • 10-15 years of Project Management experience planning, executing, and delivering large-scale, complex, and high-risk software development, vendor software products, and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong experience developing and implementing project management processes, procedures, and structure within an organization.
  • Proficient in managing projects using predictive, adaptive, and hybrid methodology/framework.
  • Strong understanding and experience using project management tools and systems for planning, tracking, resource, and risk management.
  • Prior experience managing projects in a financial institution is preferred.

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor's degree required in computer science, engineering, or similar STEM concentration.
  • Very strong work experience may substitute for formal education requirements.
  • MBA/MS a plus.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
