Key Responsibilities

The Janitor/Busser is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized restaurant environment. This includes adhering to uniform standards, adhering to policies and procedures, and maintaining clean and organized stations and equipment.

Uniform Requirements

The Janitor/Busser is required to wear a clean TP black hat facing forward at all times, with the brim never bent. Hair must be kept clean and underneath the hat, and fingernails must be kept trimmed. Jewelry is not allowed to be worn in ears, face, around the neck or wrists, and head phones or ear buds are not to be worn.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Adhere to uniform standards
  • Adhere to policies and procedures that maintain a clean and sanitized restaurant
  • Maintain clean and organized stations and equipment
  • Ensure HOH Standards, Safety and Sanitation, and GHS requirements are followed at all times
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Train using tablets or computer
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Any other duty/responsibility that management may deem necessary
  • Assisting with opening and closing duties of the restaurant, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning tables, etc.
Education and/or Experience

Proven experience as a Janitor Busser is required.

Language Skills

The ability to communicate in English is required, and the ability to understand the policies and procedures used to clean and sanitize a restaurant is essential.

Reasoning Ability

The ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions is required, as well as the ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

The Janitor/Busser must attend orientation and agree to policies and procedures as outlined in the Twin Peaks training, and must attend and successfully complete the training program prior to working a shift without supervision.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, using hands and fingers to handle, feel, or carry objects, and talking or hearing. The ability to reach with hands and arms, and to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, is also required.

Work Environment

The work environment of this role includes exposure to fumes or airborne particles from the kitchen, as well as occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions when in the dish area or walk-in cooler. The Janitor/Busser may also be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals when cleaning, and may be exposed to cigarette or cigar smoke in smoking sections.
