As a Radiology Specialist in the Army National Guard, you will play a critical role in providing medical imaging services to our troops. You will operate X-ray and X-ray-related equipment to perform radiographic examinations, prepare and assemble X-ray instruments and materials, and disassemble radiology equipment and shelters.
Key Responsibilities- Perform body section radiography, foreign body localization, prenatal, pediatric, urogenital, and radiographic examinations of the digestive, respiratory, vascular, and nervous systems
- Operate fixed and portable radiology equipment
- Inspect and perform operator maintenance on radiology equipment
- Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
- Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
- Must meet citizenship requirements

Job training for Radiology Specialists consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training and 46 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Training includes both classroom and field work.
