Mammography Interventional Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mammography Interventional Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Paulding Hospital. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical procedures, including mammography and stereotactic breast biopsies.

• Perform mammography and stereotactic breast biopsies, ensuring high-quality images and accurate diagnoses.
• Position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate radiographic equipment, maintaining proper calibration and functioning.
• Assist with patient care, including obtaining clinical history and gathering examination data.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, including patient information and procedure details.

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT certification in radiography and mammography.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a mammography technologist, with preference given to those with experience in stereotactic breast biopsies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
