We are currently seeking a qualified physician specializing in Emergency Medicine for a locum tenens opportunity. This role offers flexibility with part-time or full-time shifts available, allowing for a balanced work-life arrangement.
Clinical Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be board certified or truly board eligible in Emergency Medicine, having completed an accredited residency program. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive emergency care in a Level II Trauma Center.
- Managing a diverse patient volume, averaging 28,000 visits annually.
- Performing essential procedures such as intubation, central line placement, joint reductions, sedation, laceration repair, and lumbar punctures.
- Working efficiently with an average of 2 patients per hour.
Shift Details:
This position requires nocturnist coverage, with shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Single coverage is expected during these hours.
Technology:
The facility utilizes EPIC for electronic medical records, ensuring streamlined documentation and patient management.
