Job Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the clinical coordinator or practice administrator.
  • Execute nursing tasks under the guidance of a healthcare provider.
  • Assist physicians and physician assistants during patient examinations.
  • Guide patients to examination rooms, conduct interviews, measure vital signs (weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature), and accurately document all findings in the patient's medical record.
  • Provide patient instructions as directed by the healthcare provider.
  • Ensure that all relevant reports, lab results, and information are accessible in patients' medical records prior to their appointments.
  • Maintain examination rooms with sufficient medical supplies, ensure instruments are properly maintained, and prepare for sterilization as necessary.
  • Handle telephone communications and respond to inquiries from patients, physicians, and pharmacies.
  • Manage and relay messages from patients and front office staff to healthcare providers.
  • Keep all logs and required checks up to date (e.g., refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen levels, cold sterilization fluid changes, etc.).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the clinical coordinator or practice administrator.
