BluePearl's EmERge Program

Are you a recent veterinary graduate looking to launch your career in emergency medicine? BluePearl's EmERge program is a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the skills and confidence to succeed as an emergency veterinarian.

Program Structure

The program is divided into three segments, each with its own unique focus and learning objectives.

  • Initial Training: 16 weeks of intensive training, including boot camp and on-site training at one of our hospitals.
  • Immersive Training: 16 weeks of hands-on training, working alongside experienced veterinarians and gaining practical experience.
  • Experiential Training: 20 weeks of mentored training, working independently and applying your skills in a real-world setting.
Curriculum

The EmERge program covers a wide range of topics, including:

  • Clinician leadership and communication
  • Principles of resuscitation and shock
  • Sepsis and fluid therapy
  • Gastrointestinal and urogenital emergencies
  • Cardiac and pulmonary emergencies
  • Communication techniques and stress resilience
  • Neurologic emergencies and hemostasis
  • Electrolyte disorders and immunologic emergencies
  • Compassion fatigue and burnout
