About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Optum, a leading health services company. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the dispensing of medical prescriptions and performing various clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
  • Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Minnesota
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to work Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm and required rotating weekends Saturday and Sunday 10am – 2pm (would be working every 7th or 8th weekend – would have half day off Thursday before and half day off Tuesday after when working weekends)
Preferred Qualifications
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • 6+ months of pharmacy technician experience
