Position Overview:
This full-time role offers a dynamic work environment in a busy pain management office. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and customer service skills, thriving in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for their visits, including taking vitals, charting, and specimen collection.
- Assist in setting up injections and escort patients to the checkout area post-visit.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the examination rooms, ensuring they are ready for patient use.
- Review physician schedules to prepare necessary charts, including operative reports and relevant studies.
- Support physicians by handling instruments and materials as needed.
- Manage communication through phones and emails, ensuring messages reach the appropriate staff.
- Adhere to infection control protocols, including hand hygiene and equipment sterilization.
- Prepare necessary documentation for laboratory testing and assist with disability forms and surgical authorizations.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor and manage inventory of medical supplies, ensuring rooms are stocked appropriately.
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing medical records and scheduling appointments.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or completion of a Medical Assisting program is required.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a medical setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with patients and staff.
