Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a high-volume Gastroenterology clinic, collaborating with physicians and working independently.
- Gather comprehensive patient histories, perform thorough physical assessments, and document findings accurately.
- Provide guidance and education to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment options.
- Mentor and support clinical staff, including Nurses and Medical Assistants, in delivering exceptional patient care.
- Formulate preliminary diagnoses and initiate appropriate diagnostic procedures.
- Analyze pathology results, imaging studies, and laboratory tests.
- Occasionally assist with inpatient GI services as required.
- Educate patients and families on endoscopic procedures, potential risks, and expected outcomes.
- Attain proficiency in electronic medical records used in both practice and hospital settings.
- Collaborate effectively with referring physicians, hospitalists, surgical teams, and other specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain active licensure with the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.
- Engage in ongoing education and training to uphold credentialing standards.
- Adhere to company policies and perform additional duties as assigned.
