IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is in search of an Enterprise Systems Architect with a strong background in large-scale systems design to deliver comprehensive Systems Engineering services. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance enterprise architecture and perform systems engineering assessments that promote integration across diverse military systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employing modeling and simulation techniques to provide insightful analysis for strategic modernization initiatives.
  • Offering technical and programmatic direction for the architecture and requirements development process.
  • Collaborating with multiple entities to ascertain and articulate future capability and interoperability requirements.
  • Identifying critical architectural and system-level trade-offs.
  • Leading a systems engineering team to facilitate collaboration and approval of engineering deliverables through rigorous reviews and milestone assessments.
  • Creating an architectural framework utilizing Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) for a large-scale enterprise.
  • Formulating strategies to support Department of Defense (DoD) architecture initiatives.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of current and prospective architectural concepts.
  • Developing comprehensive architecture models to represent the enterprise holistically.
  • Preparing presentations for senior leadership and decision-makers.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering with a minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant experience; Master's degree with ten (10) years; or PhD/JD with eight (8) years of experience.
  • Proficient in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical fundamentals related to existing military programs (e.g., ground vehicles, aviation, missile defense).
  • Preferred experience in Army Aviation programs and familiarity with the Army Aviation acquisition process.
  • Expertise in utilizing architecture tools to support high-level enterprise decision-making.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the JCIDS processes and Capability Based Assessments.
  • Familiarity with Army experimentation practices and modernization support initiatives.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining architecture products in accordance with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
  • Ability to create architecture artifacts using standard modeling languages (e.g., UML, SysML).
  • Holistic understanding of architecture from an enterprise perspective.
  • Proven ability to recommend architectural trade-offs and advancements.
  • Strong skills in modeling for architectural solutions.
  • Expert-level knowledge of core systems engineering disciplines and processes.
  • Experience with lifecycle management from system requirements through decommissioning.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of briefing senior leadership effectively.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to represent client interests in community discussions.
  • Physical requirements include occasional standing, walking, and lifting of office supplies up to 25 pounds.

Security Clearance:
  • Must possess an active Secret clearance with the capability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance; TS/SCI preferred.
