Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Job Summary: ARM Group LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the development, design, and permitting of multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project timelines, maintain schedules, and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Develop calculations, engineering reports, design drawings, and investigation reports using the principles of soil science, biology, and chemistry to develop solutions to environmental problems.
  • Research code, zoning, ordinances, and other requirements to ensure project compliance.
  • Prepare and review engineering designs and permit applications to acquire approvals from regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop detailed technical proposals and refine internal processes.
  • Assess and mitigate project risks, recognizing conditions and problems, and develop effective solutions.
  • Monitor project work progress, adhering to the scope of work, and communicate with key stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports, client communications, contract documents, and consult with internal partners as needed.
  • Prepare invoices, track project budgets, and projections.
  • Present projects at public meetings and hearings, answering technical questions.
  • Attend client and agency meetings and industry events.
  • Mentor junior staff and participate in hiring technical staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil or Environmental) from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • 5+ years of applicable engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer registration in Maryland.
  • Experience with stormwater management plans, erosion and sediment control design calculations, permitting, and regulatory requirements in Maryland and surrounding states.
  • Excellent communication skills, articulate and confident, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the general public.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong technical competency and analytical ability, with effective teamwork skills.
  • Ambitious and eager to grow, with a strong work ethic and self-motivated mentality.
  • Must be able to work independently in a detailed and thorough manner.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D software and other industry-specific software.
  • Reasonably proficient in MS Office Suite and MS Project or equivalent project scheduling software.
