Job Overview

Position Summary: The Senior Plumbing Technician is responsible for executing advanced plumbing installations and repairs for various projects. The technician will perform both technical and semi-technical maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, or replace residential water systems.
  • Service and install plumbing fixtures and equipment.
  • Conduct inspections and monitor facilities to ensure compliance with state standards.
  • Review blueprints and construction plans for accuracy.
  • Complete plumbing connections and inspections to meet code requirements.
  • Obtain necessary permits and arrange inspections.
  • Plan and schedule all required inspections and testing.
  • Evaluate options to ensure timely and budget-friendly project completion.
  • Excavate and install underground plumbing connections.
  • Ensure all plumbing details are executed according to plans, including water and drainage connections.
  • Install PVC piping for drainage systems as per specifications.
  • Install PEX tubing for water lines according to project requirements.
  • Implement PVC piping for radon venting systems as needed.
  • Install hangers with appropriate spacing to comply with regulations.
  • Address and complete Punch List items.
  • Replace defective components as necessary.
  • Identify and troubleshoot plumbing issues.
  • Inspect systems post-installation for functionality.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and building codes.
  • Maintain clear communication with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ensure job site cleanliness and organization.
  • Complete all work to satisfaction as per inspection standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the role.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of building materials used in residential and commercial construction.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to plumbing components.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Master Plumber License.
  • 5-10 years of professional plumbing experience.
  • Thorough understanding of code compliance regulations.
