About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team at ANR Group Inc. As a Mechanical Designer, you will play a critical role in the design and development of mechanical handling equipment, treatment and vitrification systems, and supporting utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare 3D models, detail drawings, design proposal drawings, and simulations using CAD software such as Solidworks, Microstation, and IGRIP.
  • Interface and coordinate with other engineering disciplines and the client in the development of the design.
  • Meet with engineers to establish their requirements for new or existing mechanical designs.
  • Support the procurement of equipment by developing procurement packages, reviewing quotations, and evaluating them technically.
Requirements
  • Grade 23 - BS degree in Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering from an accredited university or college with 1 year of related experience.
  • Grade 24 - BS degree in Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering from an accredited university or college with 3 years of related experience.
  • Must be able to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship.
  • Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineering-in-training (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering.
  • Experience in equipment design analysis in DOE or commercial nuclear facilities.
