Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Assistant Supervisor is a key member of the housekeeping team, responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and public areas. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Supervision: Assist the Housekeeping Manager in supervising and coordinating the activities of housekeeping staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Room Inspections: Conduct regular room inspections to ensure that guest rooms are clean and well-maintained, and report any issues to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to housekeeping staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and management to ensure that all needs are met and that any issues are resolved promptly.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, inventory management, and reporting.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
