Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Registration Specialist to join our team at OU Health's Emergency Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care.

About the Role

The Medical Registration Specialist will be responsible for timely and accurate patient registration, verifying insurance coverage, and ensuring all necessary account information is obtained. They will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide a seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interview patients to obtain all necessary account information and verify insurance coverage.
  • Ensure charts are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify all insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization as needed.
  • Calculate and collect patient liable amounts.
  • Obtain necessary signatures for treatments and release of medical information.
  • Welcome patients and family members professionally, answering any questions or concerns they may have.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of patient registration processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to your base salary, you will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including PTO, 401(k), medical and dental plans, and more.
