Columbia Industries is seeking a Production Worker to join our team. This role will assist with the production of our bottled water production line for up to 12 weeks.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the performance of assigned production activities in the warehouse.
- Assist supervisors in performing preventive maintenance tasks.
- Report any safety violations, equipment breakdowns, slowdowns, or hazards to the General Manager.
- Assist in quality control of product output to meet business expectations.
- Participate in team meetings.
- Communicate effectively with staff.
- Observe and comply with staff and participant confidentiality policies.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects or materials (often 30-50 pounds or more).
- Standing for extended periods, often for the entire shift.
- Performing repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Manual dexterity for handling equipment and materials.
- Ability to operate machinery, tools, and equipment precisely.
- Mobility and flexibility for bending, twisting, and reaching to manage production lines and equipment.
- Good vision for monitoring machinery and quality control.
- Ability to hear alarms, signals, and communications over the noise of the production floor.
Working in varying temperatures (hot or cold environments).
Exposure to loud noises, vibrations, and possibly hazardous materials.
Understanding and following safety protocols to prevent accidents.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
