About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at UC Health. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients in our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical and mental abilities, and develop individualized treatment plans to restore function, prevent disability, and promote independence.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, to address patients' needs and goals.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to provide comprehensive care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices, research, and industry developments, and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from a school accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
  • License and Certification: Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Ohio, and certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Experience: Recent graduates or experienced Occupational Therapists with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a SNF or LTAC setting.
