We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced psychiatrist to join our team as a Consultation-Liaison and Emergency Psychiatry Specialist at WMU Homer Stryker, M.D. School of Medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Provide consultation-liaison services at Ascension Borgess Hospital, collaborating with our team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Supervise medical students and psychiatry residents in their ACGME-accredited residency program, providing guidance and mentorship to help them develop their skills.
- Participate in the development and implementation of initiatives to improve our academic Consult-Liaison/emergency psychiatry program, ensuring it remains a leader in the region.
- Contribute to the growth and expansion of our clinical services, research, and education programs, working closely with our team to achieve our goals.
- Board certified or eligibility for board certification in psychiatry.
- Practicing physician (M.D. or D.O.) with licensure to practice medicine in Michigan.
- Consult-liaison fellowship training preferred, but not required.

Our clinical practice, WMed Health, offers comprehensive primary care and specialty services in several locations throughout Kalamazoo, Portage, and Battle Creek, and our Department of Pathology faculty serve as the Office of the Medical Examiner for counties throughout Michigan and northern Indiana.
