Your Contribution

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating, developing, and improving existing and new manufacturing methods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and develops existing and new manufacturing methods to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and continuously improves production processes.
  • Identifies root causes and implements deviation management systems to improve quality and reduce waste.
  • Supports decisions with reasoning and facts, and adapts to frequent changes in the work environment.
  • Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layouts for maximum efficiency.
  • Works with Production, Quality, and Engineering departments to implement in-process yield measurement systems.
  • Uses data collected to develop corrective actions and execute to improve yield over time.
  • Identifies capacity of production lines and makes recommendations to Supervision, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams.
  • Communicates work instructions, process information, and results clearly to work crews.
  • Develops and implements cost-saving measures to conserve organizational resources.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner by gathering and analyzing information skillfully.
  • Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations.
  • Maintains flexibility regarding hours of work depending on production.
  • Utilizes structured methods for derivation and implementation of continuous improvement activities.
  • Monitors all aspects of glass quality to continuously improve production results.
  • Provides secondary-level support for machinery and equipment.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in production or industrial manufacturing. Glass melting experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP, MS Office, and computer proficiency in data analysis and business management software.
