Job Summary

Rutgers University is seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician III to join our team at Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive evaluation, assessment, and therapeutic intervention to address the psychological, emotional, and social needs of individuals served by the unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the goals and objectives of the Department and UBHC.
  • Behave in accordance with established department and UBHC policies and procedures.
  • Participate in and contribute to the smooth functioning of the department.
  • Enhance the positive self-image of individuals served and preserve their human dignity.
  • Maintain effective communication with members of the treatment team.
  • Ensure the rights of individuals served are maintained.
  • Participate in programs and department-wide meetings.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in a mental health discipline.
  • Licensure to practice as required by New Jersey state laws governing the discipline.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a moderate noise environment and may be exposed to unpredictable situations and medical and psychiatric crises.

They will also be required to implement universal precautions and safety precautions.
