Job Summary

UNC Health is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of patient testing and administrative tasks in support of clinical activities.
  • Investigate problems with equipment, test results, specimens, and/or workflow.
  • Participate on teams or perform special projects/assignments.
  • Perform quality control and equipment maintenance in the laboratory.
  • Prepare specimens and reagents, solutions, heat, or filters as required.
  • Report results to healthcare providers and consult/confere with them regarding test results.
  • Review test results to ensure accuracy of report and timely correction of errors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's of Science degree required.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements upon hire to sit for MT exam within 12 months of hire.
  • Must obtain certification within one year of becoming exam eligible.
  • No prior experience required.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range: $24.13-$30.17.
  • MLT salary range: $20.33-$26.10.
  • Exempt from overtime.
