Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including routine and advanced CT scans, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment.
- Provide support to other imaging technologists as needed, ensuring seamless workflow and efficient patient care.
- Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and potential contraindications, adhering to established protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Interact effectively with patients, radiologists, and other care providers to coordinate procedures and maintain a high level of patient care and continuity.
- Rotate within departments and clinics to ensure proper coverage and adapt to changing patient needs.
- Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy procedures, utilizing CT equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and compliant with Infection Control standards.
- Accurately code and enter charges for exams performed.
- Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to CHRISTUS Health's Core values.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
- 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting required; 3 years of experience preferred.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in CT required.
- Current state licensure and BLS (American Heart Association) certification required.
