Position Overview:
The Radiology Specialist in Nuclear Medicine is responsible for executing nuclear medicine imaging procedures through the proficient and secure application of radiopharmaceuticals and specialized imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage the acquisition, preparation, quality assurance, calculation, identification, documentation, administration, disposal, storage, and safe handling of all radioactive substances.
+ Schedule examinations and assess images to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
+ Initiate and maintain intravenous (IV) access and administer medications as directed by a licensed healthcare provider.

Qualifications:
+ An Associate's degree from an accredited institution recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred.
Licensure and Certification:
+ Certification and Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) is required.
+ State Licensure is preferred unless mandated by local regulations.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
Experience:
+ A minimum of 1 year of experience in Nuclear Medicine is preferred.
