About the Role

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled School Credentialed Nurse to join our team. As a School Credentialed Nurse, you will play a vital role in identifying and treating health disorders among students, providing instruction in the maintenance of good health and disease prevention, and evaluating the physical conditions of students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health Disorder Identification and Treatment: Conduct immunization programs, assess case manager health needs, and evaluate the health & developmental status of pupils.
  • Health Counseling and Education: Perform health counseling, including crisis intervention, drug and alcohol addiction, and design and implement individual student health maintenance plans.
  • Resource Referral and Communication: Refer pupils, parents, and guardians to community resources, maintain communication to promote needed treatments, and interpret medical and nursing findings.
  • Curriculum Development and Implementation: Develop and implement the health education curriculum, participate in implementing health instruction curriculum, and teach health-related subjects under the supervision of a classroom teacher.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Counsel and assist pupils and parents in health-related adjustments, perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
Requirements
  • Valid School Nurse Services Credential: Required for this position.
  • Valid Nurse License: Issued by the state, required for this role.
  • Experience and Certification: Two years of successful experience as a school nurse preferred, valid CPR certification required.
  • Communication and Computer Skills: Ability to effectively elicit and provide information to and from appropriate individuals, proficiency in the English language may be required, and computer proficiency required.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
